Over 450 people enjoyed celebrating Grandparents Day 2024 with a COTA NT movie morning.
This year’s movie, RUNT was definitely a crowd pleaser and thank to you Libby, John and Joanne who took the time to give us some lovely positive feedback. It’s always great to know that the hard work behind the scenes is appreciated.
“Thanks for organising the movie and give away. We had a great time with our two granddaughters – saw Runt. Appreciate the organisation that it took and the team of volunteers that you had on hand.” Regards, Libby Benson and John Punch
“I wanted to say thank you for the wonderful day yesterday, we really enjoyed the movie at Gateway!” Joanne Greenwood
With the support of the Northern Territory Government’s Department of Territory Families, Housing and Communities, the organisation was able to deliver four movie mornings for Grandparents Day with specially priced tickets ($5 per adult, $2.50 for the U16s) which included tea/coffee and a biccy, popcorn and soft drinks. We also managed to include a goodie bag for the Grandparents which included some treats and a print copy of the Grandparents Toolkit.
The toolkit can be downloaded here. Well worth a read as it includes recipes for bubbles and playdough, tips on communicating in the modern age and more.
